Turning Towards

Part of a death doula's job is to do what most people fear; turning towards death. Some doulas decide to leave the word "death" out of their job title, choosing instead end-of-life doula or thana-doula as a couple different examples. Fo me, being able to say the dreaded word and own it in my practice is important. I am here to have the conversations, to sit with the discomfort, and to transmute pain into something beautiful.
